System Models vs. Test Models -Distinguishing the Undistinguishable?

چکیده
Models are purposeful abstractions used in todays software engineering processes. Experience shows that the application of models reduces engineering costs, allows for easy reuse, and improves product quality. Models can be used for several purposes at various levels of abstraction. In this paper, we discuss the differences of system models and test models. For that, we consider several aspects of models and investigate if they can be used as distinctive features of system models and test models.

A Comparative Study of Learning and Motivation in Continuing Medical Education Based on Integrated Instructional and Motivational Design Models
Introduction: There are few studies that compare electronic learning in continuing medical education using instructional material developed based on scientific principles of instructional and motivational designs. Therefore, this study was performed in Kermanshah University of Medical Science in 2011 in order to compare physicians’ learning and motivation in these two instructional approaches. ...
متن کاملModels of EFL Learners’ Vocabulary Development: Spreading Activation vs. Hierarchical Network Model
Semantic network approaches view organization or representation of internal lexicon in the form of either spreading or hierarchical system identified, respectively, as Spreading Activation Model (SAM) and Hi- erarchical Network Model (HNM). However, the validity of either model is amongst the intact issues in the literature which can be studied through basing the instruction compatible wi...
متن کاملValidation and application of empirical shear wave velocity models based on standard penetration test
Shear wave velocity is a basic engineering tool required to define dynamic properties of soils. In many instances it may be preferable to determine Vs indirectly by common in-situ tests, such as the Standard Penetration Test. Many empirical correlations based on the Standard Penetration Test are broadly classified as regression techniques. However, no rigorous procedure has been published for c...
متن کاملHybrid ANFIS with ant colony optimization algorithm for prediction of shear wave velocity from a carbonate reservoir in Iran
Shear wave velocity (Vs) data are key information for petrophysical, geophysical and geomechanical studies. Although compressional wave velocity (Vp) measurements exist in almost all wells, shear wave velocity is not recorded for most of elderly wells due to lack of technologic tools. Furthermore, measurement of shear wave velocity is to some extent costly. This study proposes a novel methodolo...
متن کاملMonologism of Hofstede’s Static Model vs Dialogism of Fang’s Dynamic Model: Contradictory Value Configuration of Cultures through the Case Study of Farsi Proverbs
Among various cultural models, the dichotomy of static versus dynamic models has provided a fertile ground for research. Although a number of static models are suggested, the dominant trend in almost all static models is provided by Hofstede who focuses on cultural differences along four major dimensions (power distance, individualism, uncertainty avoidance, and masculinity) and reduces “the co...
